Senior production manager (sports style apparel)

Today we are looking for Senior production manager in sports style apparel and apparel for swimming, Apparel Production Department.

Maternity leave position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving the costing process from target setting through finalization of order price: evaluation and estimation of supplier quotes driving for transparency, fact based and sustainable price quotes across seasons for benchmarking;
• Cooperation with overseas office merchandisers on the matters of product development and production processes;
• Collaboration in sourcing strategy creation based upon supplier KPIs, capabilities, capacity offer and optimizations to meet Sportmaster objectives;
• Monitoring and control of samples and product on time in full shipments with relevant tracking and correspondence with supply base and business partners;
• Proactive work with suppliers on prevention and earty solutions of potential problems and delays on the earty stages of bulk production;
• Improvement of contractual terms with suppliers from season to season, holding negotiations in order to achieve better commercial conditions for the Company;
• Actively work with new suppliers onboarding into processes and procedures of Sportmaster;
• Timely and accurate placement and confirmation of orders and forecasts with suppliers;
• Provide assistance to find effective solutions to complex production issues and potential conflicts between the Material and Garment Suppliers;
• Consistently work with suppliers to improve product quality season to season;
• Quality management: monitoring claims settlement and the related negotiations on recovery of damages;
• Compliance with procedures and calendars for the collection development and production;
• Fully meeting Buy Ready requirements for each relevant seasonal calendar;
• Manage timely and accurate data information within the system landscape.
• Responsibility for apparel production of the brands: Demix, GSD, Sensana, Athlex, Kettle.

Our requirements:

• Relevant experience in Apparel production of 2-3 years;
• Higher education Preferable sphere of education is Economics, Textile, Business administration
• Apparel industry and market knowledge, specifically for sports and active wear,
• Advanced knowledge & experience in Product Costing (full CMT or SMV calculations);
• Solid understanding of the functioning of an apparel factory and its preferred performance indicators,
• Knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes; knowledge of patter making and material consumption preferred;
• Solid knowledge in the purchasing of the goods, familiarity with the Apparel industry - knowledge of key players-suppliers in the market (locally and globally) preferred;
• Ability to build successful production supplier relationships;
• Knowledge of materials manufacturing processes, material specification and components, Fabric/Trims costing and its components;
• Clear understanding of product lifecycle development;
• Knowledge of international incoterms and exchange rate influences;
• Working knowledge and understanding of forecasting, buy planning, factory loading and capacity planning and logistical and customs processes/
• English level: Intermediate
• Soft skills: strong negotiation skills, basic leadership skills, organizational skills, results orientation: process & project management basic knowledge, analytical skills, presentation skills, self-organization & motivation, a proactive, friendly, positive attitude to your work and colleagues - ability to work and support others in a team environment; communication skills (Written & Spoken), high focus on cultivating cooperation and networks.
• Ability to travel (1 time a year)
