Ruby on Rails Engineer — Backend & Application Support

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our engineering team and help maintain, improve, and troubleshoot backend applications. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys investigating technical issues, working with existing codebases, and finding practical solutions to improve system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and troubleshoot issues in Ruby on Rails applications.
• Investigate application behavior using logs, database queries, and debugging tools.
• Identify root causes of technical issues and implement appropriate fixes.
• Maintain and improve existing backend services and internal applications.
• Work with REST APIs, background jobs, and database-related processes.
• Collaborate with developers and other technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to code quality, system stability, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Working knowledge of Git, Linux, SQL, and application logs.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and background job processing tools such as Sidekiq.
• Basic understanding of web application architecture and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to investigate problems independently and approach troubleshooting systematically.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Experience maintaining existing applications and working with legacy code.
• Knowledge of application monitoring, debugging, and performance analysis.
