Civil Construction Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide civil engineering technical support for regional flash-charging station projects, including site surveys, foundation design proposals, and review of civil construction plans. Identify potential civil construction risks, provide on-site technical guidance, and support the successful implementation and delivery of charging station projects.
2. Work closely with engineering and construction teams on the installation and deployment of flash-charging stations. Provide civil engineering technical briefings and clarification of construction specifications to on-site construction teams and EPC contractors; assess complex on-site technical issues and develop appropriate solutions.
3. Monitor the progress of civil works, including station civil construction, equipment foundation works, and associated supporting civil works. Assist with on-site quality inspections and acceptance inspections at key project milestones; promptly report construction deviations or issues and drive corrective actions through to closure.
4. Compile and maintain civil engineering technical documentation, construction case studies, and on-site issue logs. Develop standardized construction guidelines and a knowledge base of common civil engineering issues, and continuously improve civil engineering delivery standards for overseas flash-charging station projects.

Design Development: Ability to develop design solutions from initial concept through detailed design and implementation, with a comprehensive and systematic design approach.
2. Technical Knowledge
Building Structures and Construction: Good understanding of structural systems and construction methods to ensure design feasibility and constructability.
Codes and Regulations: Sound knowledge of mandatory requirements relating to fire safety, energy efficiency, accessibility, planning, and other applicable building codes and regulations.
Design Software: Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp (SU), Rhino, Photoshop (PS), rendering software, and other architectural design and visualization tools.

Client Requirement Analysis: Ability to translate broad or ambiguous client requirements into clear and actionable design briefs.
Multidisciplinary Coordination: Ability to coordinate effectively with structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, façade, and other disciplines.
External Coordination: Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, design review authorities, planning authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
4. Project Management
Schedule and Quality Control: Ability to manage deliverables, quality requirements, and key milestones throughout different stages of design and project execution.
Cost Awareness: Ability to balance design objectives, technical requirements, and project costs.
Contracts and Regulations: Basic knowledge of design and engineering contracts, scopes and boundaries of responsibility, and relevant legal requirements.
