Senior Accountant

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant - a high-performing expert who will handle the process of accounting

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out accounting in compliance with all relevant local legislation and internal accounting guidelines
• Supporting Chief accountant in establishing an effective tax management including:
• Control over the accrued VAT on goods imported (including from the Customs Union)
• Preparing of tax registers
• Statistical reporting, Reporting to the National Bank
• Execution of all relates aspects of intercompany charge and settlement
• Managing the AP & AR ledgers including:
• SNT and E-Invoice issuing control
• Customers reconciliation
• Vendors reconciliation
• Control of bank payments process
• Managing T&E reporting process
• FA Accounting
• Support the monthly and annual IFRS accounts closing process including:
• Check of accounting entries (depreciation; AR/AP offsets etc),
• Collect and review information from the different departments, and book the manual entries according to the provided information,
• Reconciliations of balances with external counterparties (Payment Systems, customers, vendors).
• Cooperation with Accounting Shared Services
• Day to day processing of accounting transactions to ensure an effective and in time finance accounting
• Filing & Archiving

Requirements:

• Higher education (finance / accounting / economy)
• At least 3 years of work experience in accounting in a similar position
• Knowledge of SAP (essential), MS Office
• Fluency in Kazakh and Russian, English – Upper-Intermediate level or above
