Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan
Role Purpose
Responsible for project cost management, budget control, forecasting, cost reporting, change management, and commercial analysis throughout the EPC project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs, commitments, risks, and contingencies.
- Review and verify BoQs, cost estimates, and commercial proposals.
- Conduct detailed analysis of local estimates prepared in ABC software.
- Ensure compliance with Kazakhstan cost estimating regulations and standards.
- Prepare executive cost reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Support procurement, tender evaluation, and contract management activities.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reporting.
- Review EPC Contractor payment applications, variations, and change orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or Project Controls.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on EPC projects.
- Experience on at least one major international EPC project.
- Expert knowledge of ABC (АВС) Cost Estimation Software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including cost analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in reviewing local estimates, quantities, rates, cost breakdowns, and project budgets.
Preferred
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, tourism, industrial, mining, or energy projects.
- Experience with Kazakhstan state expertise and estimate review procedures.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English and Russian (written and spoken).
- Kazakh is an advantage.
