Customer Service Specialist (Shipping & Logistics)

We are a leading international freight forwarder based in Dubai, specializing in cargo transportation between Asia and Europe. We provide end‑to‑end logistics solutions and build long‑term partnerships with our clients by ensuring reliable, efficient, and transparent operations.

Role Overview We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to support our Europe‑bound shipments. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and overseeing cargo shipments to Europe, ensuring smooth coordination from the factory to the port, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and line offices. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate and manage road transport shipments from the factory to the port for Europe‑bound cargo, including booking carriers and tracking cargo at every stage.

* Place and monitor freight bookings, manage space allocation, and ensure timely confirmation from shipping lines.

* Liaise with local line offices to resolve operational issues, confirm schedules, and secure necessary documentation.

* Provide on‑site customer support in Dubai: answer inquiries, process requests, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

* Monitor shipment statuses, anticipate potential delays or disruptions, and proactively communicate updates and contingency plans to clients.

* Prepare and verify shipping documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

* Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, documentation) to ensure seamless execution of shipments and accurate invoicing.

* Maintain accurate records in the company’s systems and prepare regular reports on shipment statuses and key performance indicators.

Requirements

* Proven experience (2+ years) in international freight forwarding or logistics, preferably with a focus on Europe‑bound shipments.

* Strong understanding of road transport operations and container shipping processes.

* Experience in booking freight with shipping lines and coordinating with local line offices.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.

* Fluent English (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

* Proficiency in standard logistics software and MS Office; experience with TMS/ERP systems is advantageous.

* Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

* Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
