Senior Accountant

An international retail company is looking for a Senior Accountant in Almaty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities across all accounting cycles.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and support month/year-end closing.
• Monitor tax compliance, identify tax risks and opportunities, and coordinate tax audits.
• Prepare monthly tax returns, tax budgets and forecasts.
• Perform account reconciliations and monthly Trial Balance analysis.
• Support budgeting, reporting and financial processes in collaboration with Finance teams.
• Monitor developments in Kazakhstan tax and accounting legislation.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting and tax processes.
• Report to the Head of Accounting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting and tax legislation.
• Experience in an international company; retail/trading and import-export experience would be an advantage.
• Extensive experience with SAP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong reporting capabilities.
• Fluent English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, well-organized and collaborative approach.
