English Support Teacher

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide targeted English support to students through individual and small-group lessons.

2. Assess students’ English needs and monitor progress, adapting support accordingly.

3. Develop and adapt engaging learning materials to support different levels and learning needs.

4. Work closely with classroom teachers to help students develop the English skills needed to access the curriculum.

5. Build students’ confidence and independence in English, particularly in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Requirements

• IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (or equivalent level of English proficiency).

• Previous experience teaching or supporting students in English language development.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students of different English proficiency levels.

• A patient, supportive, and student-centered approach to teaching.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other members of staff.
