Международная компания, разрабатывающая решения для здоровья животных, приглашает в свою команду Руководителя лаборатории

Function description:

• Lead the Diagnos service in the subsidiary, and coordinate all service activities in constant communication with the UCAM manager, the Diagnos Coordinator in HQ, and the Business Manager.
• Participate in conducting laboratory tests following the procedures in force.
• Coordinate the work of the laboratory staff under the supervision of the Business Manager.
• Communicate to the Diagnos Coordinator in HQ any need of technical support to improve or implement test methods. Ensure the transference of the proper information from HQ to the subsidiary, following the established procedures without introducing changes in any of the methods (following standard protocols).
• Ensure compliance with good laboratory practices in terms of test procedures, record keeping, and instrument/equipment maintenance.
• Establish priorities to the team of technicians, to ensure a timely customer service.
• Be responsible for stock control of equipment and reagents, as well as place orders to maintain a minimum stock for the service.
• Ensure the proper use of LIMS or any other informatics support, allowing traceability of all actions performed in Diagnos (sample management, customer reports, database, etc.).
• Ensure the safety of people in the laboratory, by encouraging the use of the proper personal protective equipment, and compliance with current industrial safety regulations.
• Preparing specimens and samples under good laboratory practices.
• Keeping up to date with technical developments, by conducting searches on identified topics relevant to HQ from de diagnostic side.
• Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks for all personnel involved in diagnostic procedures.

• Studies: Veterinary, Biology etc.
• Work experience: According to the work performed in Diagnos. Emphasis should be done on previous experience and understanding of serology and PCR methods.
• Languages: Good command of English written and spoken.
• Abilities and skills: Capacity for teamwork, proactivity, easygoing person.
