We are looking for a senior accountant for one of our offices, located in Cyprus, Limassol.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for multiple group companies, including maintaining complete and accurate accounting records and performing all related accounting activities as required;
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, management accounts, and any other financial reports in accordance with statutory requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and internal reporting requirements;
- Prepare, review, and submit all required tax filings for group companies, including but not limited to VAT, VIES, GESY returns, corporate tax filings, and any other statutory tax reporting obligations;
- Liaise with external service providers, auditors, consultants, financial institutions, legal advisors, and government authorities regarding financial reporting, tax compliance, regulatory matters, and other corporate matters as required by the business;
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding financial documentation processes, including invoices, expense reports, contracts, supporting accounting documentation, and compliance-related documentation;
- Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records, bookkeeping systems, internal documentation, and compliance with all applicable local regulatory and statutory requirements;
- Support the improvement, optimization, digitalization, and automation of internal accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and operational processes to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls;
- Assist management with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cash flow management, and operational decision-making processes;
- Participate in the implementation, review, and monitoring of internal financial policies, procedures, and controls across group companies;
- Perform other accounting, finance, compliance, administrative, and operational duties reasonably related to the Employee’s role, qualifications, and the business activities of the Company, including ad hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of accounting experience within a large international company (Big 4 experience is considered a strong advantage);

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;

ACCA or ACA qualification (completed or in progress) is highly desirable;

Strong understanding of IFRS and Cyprus tax compliance requirements;

Practical experience with VAT, VIES, GESY, and corporate accounting processes;

Previous exposure to tax planning processes, including tax forecasting and tax optimization strategies, will be considered a strong advantage;

Experience participating in process improvement, automation, or optimization of accounting and financial workflows will be considered a strong advantage;

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Workspace, and accounting systems;

Fluent English with confidence using professional financial and accounting terminology (Greek language skills will be considered an advantage);

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team environment;

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
