About the Role
As a Q&FS Specialist and part of project team, you will implement, operate, and continuously improve site quality and food safety systems. Acting as a vital technical bridge between R&D, central quality teams, engineering, and operations, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding product compliance, driving manufacturing reliability, and fostering a proactive quality culture.
Key Responsibilities
- QMS & Compliance: Develop and maintain site Quality Management System (QMS) procedures (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000). Perform routine gap assessments against new corporate standards and update local control documents.
- Food Safety & HACCP: Create and coordinate HACCP/FSSC team. Monitor and validate Critical Control Points (CCPs/OPRPs), drive operational hygiene/GMP standards, and manage pest control programs with external providers.
- Incident Management & CAPA: Lead technical investigations into product quality incidents, out-of-specification events, and consumer complaints. Define and execute robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Risk Assessment & Change Management: Perform risk assessments for process modifications, new raw materials, and trial runs. Support engineering and New Product Development (NPD) projects as the Q&FS technical expert.
- Auditing & Continuous Improvement: Execute the internal audit schedule and represent the site during external audits. Analyze Q&FS metrics to drive continuous improvement, increase Right First Time (RFT) rates, and reduce consumer complaints.
- Capability & Culture: Deliver Q&FS training programs for supply and leadership teams. Drive a proactive food safety culture.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related technical/natural sciences.
- Experience: 3+ years of QA, R&D, or Food Safety experience in the FMCG sector (food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics manufacturing is highly preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Solid practical knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO standards.
- Experience with risk analysis (FMEA) and root-cause tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa).
- Good PC skills - MS Office. SAP, PowerBI knowledge is desirable.
- Language: Upper-Intermediate English (or higher) for reading technical documents and communicating with global teams.
