Data Scientist

Nitka Technologies develops software for customers in the US and Europe and brings together about 300 professionals from Eastern Europe, North and South America, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist for a potential position to work for a e-commerce long-term project.

We offer 100% remote, full-time work with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop semantic data models within Power BI and Azure Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Dataflow Gen2);

• Ensure robust data modeling practices that support scalability, maintainability, and reusability;

• Build and optimize dataflows and pipelines for analytical consumption;

• Build dynamic, visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards that tell clear stories and drive business decisions;

• Apply statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve complex business problems (forecasting, classification, clustering, anomaly detection, etc.);

• Stay current with Microsoft Fabric and AI ecosystem innovations;

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical findings into actionable insights.

Skills required:

• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data architecture;
• Proven experience in Power BI, Azure Fabric (Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, Lakehouse, Data Pipelines), and related data engineering tools;
• Proficiency in DAX, SQL for advanced analytics;
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and operationalizing models in Azure (Azure Machine Learning, Notebooks, or Synapse ML);
• Spoken English at Intermediate level or higher.
