Backend Developer (.NET)

Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) for a project modernizing digital payment platforms, developing APIs, and building scalable backend solutions for financial services.

The customer is a technology-driven financial services provider specializing in digital payment solutions for businesses and organizations. It helps merchants simplify payment acceptance, manage transactions more efficiently, and improve the overall customer payment experience. The company focuses on secure, scalable, and user-friendly platforms that support cashless operations, business growth, and the wider digital transformation of financial services.

The project is focused on modernizing backend systems for digital wallets, acquiring services, and embedded finance solutions. It includes API development, system integrations, cloud migration, and refactoring of legacy ASP.NET components to improve scalability, maintainability, and platform architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining ASP.NET backend services.
• Building and enhancing REST APIs.
• Integrating payment-related external systems and partner APIs.
• Participating in backend refactoring and modernization initiatives.
• Supporting migration toward scalable cloud-based architecture.
• Improving the maintainability and performance of existing services.
• Collaborating with architects and integration teams.
• Participating in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Supporting troubleshooting and resolution of production issues.
• Contributing to automated testing and releasing quality improvements.

Must-haves:

• Commercial experience with .NET / ASP.NET for 4+ years.
• Experience working in the FinTech domain.
• Strong proficiency in C# development.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with JSON-based integrations and third-party API integrations.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases.
• Experience working with legacy applications.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with payment processing systems, POS solutions, digital wallets, merchant onboarding, or settlement systems.
• Experience with cloud migration or microservices transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services.
• Experience designing or working with event-driven architectures.
