About Us

Service Pro Movers is a growing moving company serving the Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose areas in California. We're scaling our marketing operations and looking for an experienced, hands-on Marketing Manager to bring our digital marketing in-house taking ownership of strategy, vendor management, and execution across all our growth channels.

About the Role

The position does not require starting to build our marketing presence from the ground up. We currently work with outsourced specialists managing our Google Ads and local search campaigns. We're looking for an in-house Marketing Manager who deeply understands the U.S. digital advertising landscape, can manage and evaluate outsourced agencies/freelancers, and over time can bring more of this work directly in-house.
Working hours are tied to California daytime.

This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who can walk into existing campaigns, audit performance critically, ask the right questions of our vendors, and make decisions: not someone who needs to be taught the channels.

!!! U.S. market experience is MANDATORY. You must understand how Americans search for and choose local services, how review platforms function in the U.S, and how to navigate U.S. specific ad platforms and compliance requirements.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Paid Advertising & Local Ads: oversee our paid search and local advertising vendors,
holding them accountable to ROI targets.
• Local SEO & Google Business Profile: manage our listings across all three service areas
and coordinate SEO work with vendors.
• Reputation Management: own our review strategy across Yelp, Google, and other
platforms, including responding to reviews and handling disputes.
• Vendor & Agency Management: be the primary point of contact for all outsourced
marketing vendors, evaluating performance and deciding what to bring in-house.
• Analytics & Reporting: track marketing spend against lead volume and conversion data
in SmartMoving, reporting on cost-per-lead and cost-per-booking.
• Strategy & Budget: manage the marketing budget across channels and identify new
growth opportunities (e.g., Google Guarantee, Yelp Ads, Nextdoor, Angi/HomeAdvisor,
referrals).

What We're Looking For

o 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, with direct hands-on experience in the U.S. market (non-negotiable)
o Required: hands-on experience marketing for companies in the local or home services industry (moving, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, landscaping, etc.). This is mandatory, not a preference
o Required: hands-on experience with local lead-generation platforms: Google Guarantee, Google Ads, Yelp Ads or similar
o Required: working knowledge of call tracking and lead attribution - you should know how to trace a lead back to the channel and campaign that generated it, not just look at platform-reported clicks/impressions
o Solid working knowledge of digital advertising channels relevant to local services (Local Service Ads, paid social, etc.)
o Experience managing or working closely with outsourced marketing agencies/freelancers: you know how to evaluate their work and aren't dependent on them to understand what's happening
o Strong understanding of local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, and review/reputation platforms (especially Yelp)
o Comfortable with marketing analytics comparing spend to lead quality and revenue, not just clicks and impressions
o Experience with paid social (Meta Ads) is a plus
o Familiarity with CRM/lead-tracking tools (SmartMoving experience is a bonus, not required)
o Excellent written English; bilingual English/Russian is required
o Self-directed: this is a remote role and you'll need to manage your own time and proactively communicate progress
