✨ About the Role
As Business Analyst, you will own the company’s driver-based financial model and act as the the analytical engine for financial questions.
You will work directly with the Chief Analytics Officer and Chief Growth Officer, turning raw data into models, scenarios, and answers: what is driving revenue, where margin is leaking, and what a pricing or traffic change will do to the P&L and cash.
The role sits in the Analytics department and reports to the Head of Business Analytics. This is a hands-on analytical role: you build the models, run the numbers, and defend the conclusions.
📝 Responsibilities
Driver-Based Modeling
Own and develop the company’s driver-based financial model (purchases → revenue → margin) across markets and products
Keep model drivers up to date: CAC, ARPPU, pricing and COGS
Run base / upside / downside scenarios and quantify the P&L and cash impact of pricing, traffic, and product decisions
Validate model outputs against actuals and continuously improve forecast accuracy
Financial Interpretation
Read the monthly P&L as a business story: explain what is moving revenue, gross margin, and OPEX – volume, price, mix, cost
Refine the rolling projection on a 1–2 month horizon and flag material risks to P&L and cash before they hit
Understand Cash Flow and how it diverges from the P&L; support cash forecasting together with the Financial Controller
Decompose period-over-period and projection-vs-actual movements and turn them into business conclusions
Business Partnership (CAO & CGO)
Act as the go-to analyst for the CAO and CGO on financial analysis questions
Translate business questions into structured analyses: pricing changes, channel ROI, market expansion, promo efficiency
Support unit economics work: LTV, CAC, payback, retention, and margin by segment and market
Present findings with clear recommendations, not just numbers
Data Work
Use SQL to extract, validate, and reconcile data for models and analyses
Work with the BI / Data team to ensure consistency between the model, dashboards, and management reporting
Document model logic so results are reproducible and auditable
Build clear visualizations – charts, tables, diagrams – to communicate findings
Technical Skills
Python for data analysis: pandas and NumPy for working with data, plus a charting library (matplotlib or plotly). statsmodels for regression and elasticity is a plus, not a must – we care that you can take a raw export and turn it into a clean, defensible analysis.
SQL: comfortable writing queries with joins, aggregations, and window functions to pull and validate the data behind your models.
Applied math and statistics: solid grasp of regression, correlation, price elasticity, and sensitivity / scenario analysis – enough to understand the math under unit economics and the driver model and to spot when a number looks wrong.
🎥 Requirements
3–5 years in financial / business analytics, FP&A, or consulting – ideally in digital, product, or subscription businesses
Hands-on experience building and maintaining driver-based financial models
Strong command of P&L and Cash Flow logic and rolling projection / variance analysis
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; SQL, Python
Experience with cohorts, segmentation, and unit economics is a strong plus
Ability to explain complex analysis to C-level simply – and defend your conclusions
Accuracy and ownership: numbers you publish can be trusted
