The Audit Manager is responsible for leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, supervising engagement teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services in accordance with Deloitte methodologies, IFRS, ISA, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously and ensure timely delivery of high-quality services.
- Lead engagement planning, risk assessment, execution, and completion of audit assignments.
- Review work performed by engagement teams and provide technical guidance and coaching.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a key point of contact throughout engagements.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting, auditing, and reporting issues.
- Ensure compliance with Deloitte audit methodology, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review engagement budgets, monitor project profitability, and manage resource allocation.
- Communicate engagement progress, key risks, and issues to Partners and Directors.
- Participate in business development activities, proposal preparation, and client presentations.
- Support recruitment, performance management, coaching, and career development of audit professionals.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, training initiatives, and continuous improvement of audit processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) completed or in progress.
- 5+ years of external audit experience, preferably within a professional services firm
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in PCAOB engagements would be a plus
- Experience managing audit engagements and leading teams.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
