Preschool Education Director
Mulberry Academy is seeking a Preschool Education Director to lead the educational program of our English-immersion, neuro-affirming school on the Nazarbayev University campus in Astana. This is a senior leadership role overseeing curriculum, teaching quality, and staff development across our preschool groups (ages 2–7), working directly with the Co-Founders and supported by our educational and student support team.
Location: NU Campus, Astana
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Start Date: July 1, 2026
Reports to: Co-Founders
Salary Range: 500 000+ negotiable
What the role involves
- Leading day-to-day educational operations across all preschool groups
- Maintaining open and positive communication with the parents
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing lead teachers and assistants — including hands-on support in classrooms
- Driving our neuroscience-informed, non-behaviorist approach from principle into operational classroom protocols
- Overseeing assessment, progress reporting, and curriculum planning across groups
- Supporting teacher recruitment, onboarding, and observation/feedback cycles
- Working alongside the methodologist, school psychologist, and operations team
- Contributing to accreditation and continuous improvement at the preschool
What we're looking for
- Significant experience leading an early childhood or primary program, ideally in an international or English-medium setting
- A track record of coaching and developing teachers, not just managing them
- Deep commitment to inclusive, neuro-affirming education and genuine fluency in (or strong willingness to master) co-regulation, declarative language, and project-based learning
- Excellent English; Russian and/or Kazakh strongly preferred given our families and staff
- The maturity and steadiness to hold therapeutic principles in place under real classroom pressure
- A relevant degree in education, early childhood, or a related field; advanced qualifications welcome
Why Mulberry
A genuinely distinctive model — one of very few truly neuro-affirming schools in Central Asia — with room to shape institutional practice rather than inherit it, and a leadership team that engages as peers.
