Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are looking for an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Almaty or Astana. You will manage workplace safety, ensure compliance with regulations, conduct training, and maintain safety records to promote a safe working environment.

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will:

• Conduct safety training and briefings for employees, ensuring they are fully informed about safety policies, procedures, and practices.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly update safety logs, records, and safety-related documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards, ensuring safety equipment and protocols are followed.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking advice or support on health, safety, or environmental issues.
• Develop and implement emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills to prepare employees for various workplace emergencies.
• Prepare, maintain, and provide documentation required for tenders, client requests, and compliance purposes.

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Have at least Intermediate level of English.
• Are available to work part-time, totaling 20 hours per week: a full 8-hour shifts on Tuesdays, with the remaining 12 hours to be worked flexibly during the rest of the week.
• Have strong attention to detail, and ability to conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Have completed courses, certifications, or qualifications in occupational health and safety (which are advantageous).
