Health and Safety Engineer

Position Summary:

H&S Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of CCI H&S programs to continually improve the health, safety and working environment to minimize risks and reduce potential liabilities.

• Monitor compliance with legislative and other regulatory legal acts, as well as acts of the employer on occupational health and safety.
• Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support for all facilities and departments on occupational health and safety issues.
• Organize trainings for personnel to enhance safe working culture.
• Ensure compliance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) of the Company with the requirements of ISO 45001 standard and maintain the necessary reporting in the framework of IMS activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal Coca Cola system KORE requirements (Dupont-like system) related to occupational health and safety.
• Develop and implement internal documentation (policies, standards, procedures, instructions, etc) for the establishment and continuous improvement of safe system of work.
• Prepare internal communication in the field of occupational health and safety in order to increase awareness among employees.
• Plan, monitor, and implement local legal and Corporate occupational health and safety programs (Behavior Based Safety, Life Saving Rules, etc.).
• Conduct and act as a single point of contact with the auditors, regulatory agencies during different audits and local inspections.
• Perform HSE Risk Assessment and identify appropriate measures to control risks.
• Manage contractors and visitors at site, ensure the compliance with the requirements and procedures.
• Manage plant’s proactive safety processes along with the reporting of safety performance data.
• Analyze occupational health and safety data to identify trends, weaknesses of the system, and root causes of incidents in order to implement improvement measures.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Safety or Health is preferred with at least 5 years’ experience in several positions in a manufacturing environment
• Deep knowledge of local legal HSE regulations
• Good knowledge and understanding of ISO45001, Dupont/KORE standards
• Knowledge and expertise in Industrial Safety
• Good communication skills in Russian, Kazakh and English (Upper-Intermediate level) languages
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications would be an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing prioritizing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability to create and effectively deliver formal presentations through these programs
• Ability to professionally and effectively solve problems and remain calm in high-stress situations
• Communication skills must be at a high level in order to clearly communicate issues/problems of the process to all levels
