Senior Microsoft Engineer / Старший системный инженер (Microsoft)

This position is based in Batumi, Georgia.

MIGx interdisciplinary teams from Switzerland, Spain and Georgia have been taking care of projects in the fields of M&A, Integration, Application, Data Platforms, Processes, IT management, Digital transformation, Managed services and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver complex IT initiatives (enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments).
• Act as an escalation point for complex and cross-domain issues, owning resolution end-to-end.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across Microsoft identity, endpoints, M365, networking, and hybrid integrations.
• Architect, administer, maintain and optimize Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Microsoft cloud and hybrid services.
• Perform operational and infrastructure tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation and scripting solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure high standards of documentation, ticket quality, post-incident reports, and knowledge base content.
• Take technical ownership of IT projects, from design through implementation.
• Mentor, guide, and support junior and mid-level engineers.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process, security, and operational improvements.

Requirements - Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure or IT operations with 1000+ users.
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID in hybrid environments.
• AZ‑104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint management solutions (Intune, SCCM, Jamf).
• Solid networking fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Good understanding of security principles (MFA, RBAC, ACLs, Identities).
• Experience with ITIL-based operations and ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar).

Nice to have (at least one of the following):

• Experience with virtualization platforms: VMware or Hyper‑V (strong advantage).
• Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam (strong advantage).
• Experience with other cloud platforms (except Azure).
• Experience with monitoring tools (PRTG, Azure Monitor, similar).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Microsoft certification AZ-305 is an advantage.
• Other Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS‑102, MS‑700, MD‑102).
