In-house Lawyer

We are looking for a qualified In-house Lawyer to support the firm's legal and regulatory matters within the financial and corporate sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal support for the firm’s operations;
• Communicating and coordinating with regulators and government authorities;
• Supporting licensing and regulatory compliance matters (Chamber of Auditor of RK, KASE, AIFC, Canadian Accountability Board and others);
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and internal documents;
• Advising management and employees on legal matters;
• Participating in audits, inspections, legal cases when necessary and preparation of responses to regulatory inquiries.

• Higher legal education degree;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience;
• Experience in the audit firm and/or financial industry is highly preferred;
• Experience interacting with regulatory and governmental authorities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including:
  • Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market;
• Experience in drafting legal opinions, agreements, policies, and official correspondence;
• Strong knowledge of corporate, financial, labor, and administrative law of Kazakhstan;
• Experience working with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) regulator (AFSA) will be considered an advantage;
• Strong knowledge of corporate, financial, labor, and administrative law of Kazakhstan;
• English language proficiency is preferred;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with regulatory documentation.
