1. POSITION INFORMATION

Position Title: SMM & Community Specialist

Division: Global Business Development

Reports directly to: Head of Creative / PR / SMM / Events

Important: All posts are published exclusively upon approval from the Head of Department

2. Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to build, grow, and manage Enterprise Uzbekistan’s digital presence and professional community engagement across social media and online communication channels.

This role is responsible for transforming Enterprise Uzbekistan from a newly established organization into a recognizable, active, trusted, internationally visible ecosystem brand.

The position combines:

  • social media operations,
  • community engagement,
  • content coordination,
  • audience interaction,
  • and communication support.

The role is not limited to “posting content.” It is expected to actively support:

  • positioning,
  • visibility,
  • engagement,
  • and relationship-building with global technology audiences.

3. Role in the Division’s Overall Mission

This role supports the division’s mission by:

  • increasing visibility of Enterprise Uzbekistan internationally;
  • building ongoing engagement with startups, founders, investors, companies, and ecosystem players;
  • ensuring consistent communication with external audiences;
  • strengthening trust and credibility through continuous online presence.

The SMM & Community Specialist acts as the operational bridge between content, audience, and engagement.

4. Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management

The Specialist is expected to manage official social media accounts of Enterprise Uzbekistan, publish and schedule content across approved platforms, maintain consistency of tone, branding, and messaging. In addition, he/she will ensure regular and high-quality communication cadence.

  • Community Management

The Specialist is to monitor audience interactions and comments, respond to inquiries or redirect them to appropriate internal owners. He/she will maintain positive engagement with community members, and escalate sensitive or high-priority communication issues.

  • Content Coordination

The Specialist is expected to coordinate with PR, Creative, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to prepare relevant content. He/she will assist in adapting materials for different social platforms, and will support launch campaigns and communication initiatives.

  • Content Planning

The Specialist will maintain social media content calendar and plan publication schedules aligned with events, announcements, campaigns, partnership activities.

  • Audience Growth & Engagement

The Specialist is to support growth of online audiences organically, monitor audience behavior and engagement trends, and suggest ideas to improve interaction and visibility.

  • Monitoring & Reporting

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Specialist will track engagement metrics, and prepare regular reports on reach, engagement, audience growth, and content performance.

  • ​​​​​​​Event & Campaign Support

The Specialist is expected to provide live or near-live social media support during conferences, launches, meetings, ecosystem events. He/she will also provide full assistance in communication support before and after events.

5. Expected Outputs / Deliverables

The specialist is expected to consistently produce:

  • Weekly content plans
  • Monthly content calendar
  • Published social media posts
  • Community engagement reports
  • Audience growth reports
  • Event-related communication support
  • Coordinated campaign support materials
  • Platform performance summaries

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Quantitative KPIs of the Specialist will consist of the following:

  • Posting consistency
  • Audience growth rate
  • Engagement rate
  • Response speed to inbound interactions
  • Reach and impressions
  • Growth of professional audience quality

Qualitative KPIs of the Specialist will be measured by:

  • Communication quality
  • Consistency of messaging
  • Professional tone of communication
  • Quality of community interaction
  • Responsiveness and reliability

7. Internal & External Coordination

Internal Coordination

The Specialist will work regularly with

  • PR lead
  • Creative Producer
  • Performance Marketing
  • Partnerships team
  • Leadership

External Coordination

In the course of his/her work, the Specialist may interact with:

  • followers,
  • media representatives,
  • startup communities,
  • ecosystem participants,
  • event participants,
  • partner communication teams.

8. Decision-Making Authority

The Specialist can decide independently on the matters of daily content scheduling, community interaction within approved guidelines, platform-level operational decisions, minor communication adjustments.

He/she will require approval on matters of sensitive announcements, strategic communication topics, political or legal topics, major campaign launches, crisis-related communication.

The Specialist must escalate Immediately when detecting reputational risks, sensitive media interactions, escalated public criticism, any politically sensitive communication.

9. Required Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate for this position is expected to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in:
  • SMM,
  • digital communications,
  • community management,
  • or related fields.
  • experience managing professional or institutional accounts preferred.
  • experience in technology, startup, innovation, or international environments is a strong advantage.

10. Required Skills, Competencies and qualities

The candidate for this position is expected to have the following Hard Skills:

  • Social media platform management

  • Basic analytics/reporting
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools
  • Targeting
  • Mobile videography
  • English, Russian, Uzbek proficiency required

Preferred Additional Skills of the candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Basic visual editing skills
  • AI-assisted content tools
  • Experience with LinkedIn ecosystem
  • Understanding of startup and tech communities
