1. Job Purpose
The Accounting Team Lead/ Management is responsible for supervising daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls across the CIS region.
This role oversees key accounting functions including payment accounting, fixed asset accounting, reconciliation, and closing activities while supporting process optimization and team management in a dynamic, high-volume operational environment.
2. Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations Management
- Supervise daily accounting operations related to payment accounting and fixed asset accounting.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor accounting processes to ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensure accounting records are properly maintained in ERP/accounting systems.
Payment Accounting Oversight
- Review vendor payments, driver payouts, reimbursements, and operational expense transactions.
- Ensure payment transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Monitor outstanding balances and coordinate issue resolution with related stakeholders.
- Support cash flow visibility by coordinating closely with Treasury and Finance teams.
Fixed Asset Accounting Oversight
- Supervise fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, transfer, and disposal processes.
- Review fixed asset registers and ensure completeness of supporting documents.
- Coordinate periodic physical asset verification and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with company asset management policies and accounting standards.
Financial Closing & Reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Review reconciliations of bank accounts, clearing accounts, and asset accounts.
- Prepare accounting schedules, reports, and analysis for management review.
- Support financial reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and local regulations across CIS countries.
- Monitor approval workflows and segregation of duties within accounting operations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and explanations.
- Identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
Team Supervision & Collaboration
- Supervise and support Accounting Specialists in daily operations.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement, Operations, IT, and external partners to resolve operational and accounting issues.
- Participate in process improvement and accounting automation initiatives.
3. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to payment accounting, fixed asset accounting, or accounting operations.
- Prior experience in team supervision or senior accounting responsibilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regional environment.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- English proficiency is preferred.
