Position Overview
The School Nurse / School Doctor is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff within the American High School environment. The position ensures compliance with national healthcare regulations and international school health and safety standards while supporting a positive and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Provide primary healthcare services and first aid to students and staff during school hours
- Assess, monitor, and respond appropriately to student medical needs and emergencies
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and medical documentation
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician instructions and school policies
- Develop and implement school health procedures, protocols, and preventive care initiatives
- Monitor communicable diseases and ensure compliance with public health and safety regulations
- Conduct routine health screenings and monitor student wellness and immunization records
- Coordinate with parents, teachers, and school administration regarding student health concerns
- Support student mental, emotional, and physical well-being through health education and guidance
- Ensure the school clinic is properly equipped and compliant with healthcare standards
- Prepare medical reports and documentation required for inspections and regulatory authorities
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and school safety initiatives
- Promote healthy lifestyle practices and wellness awareness within the school community
- Ensure compliance with the healthcare and educational regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Qualifications:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Healthcare, or a related field
- Valid professional license or certification as a Nurse or Medical Doctor
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in a school, clinic, hospital, or international educational environment
- Experience working in an international or American-style school is preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare, emergency response, and school health procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Uzbek and/or Russian is an advantage
