About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Logistics Unit Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end logistics operations within the fashion retail industry. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient warehouse and transportation management, strong cost control, effective coordination with 3PL providers, and compliance with customs and contractual processes.
This role requires strong operational leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple logistics functions in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily logistics operations across warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities.
- Ensure accurate monthly invoice reconciliation with 3PL service providers.
- Lead delivery planning activities to guarantee timely and efficient product distribution to stores and other destinations.
- Supervise warehouse management processes including receiving, storage, stock control, loading, and returns management.
- Coordinate transportation and shipment management activities, including planning, loading, stocking, and return operations.
- Manage tender and contract processes with logistics vendors and service providers.
- Oversee country customs processes and ensure full compliance with local regulations and import/export requirements.
- Monitor and control logistics costs, identify optimization opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Ensure logistics KPIs and service levels are achieved consistently.
- Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team to support business growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics management or supply chain operations, preferably within fashion retail or FMCG sectors.
- Fluent in English (written & verbal)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation management, and customs procedures.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and managing vendor relationships.
- Solid understanding of tendering and contract management processes.
- Strong analytical and cost management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP/WMS systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
