About BostonGene
BostonGene is redefining cancer patient care and drug development through the integration of omnimodal data and artificial intelligence. Built and validated through an extensive real-world clinical testing network, BostonGene’s foundation model for tumor and immune biology integrates genomic, transcriptomic, and immune data with clinical outcomes to generate biologically grounded, actionable insights. These insights enable biopharma partners to design and de-risk trials, identify novel targets, and optimize therapeutic response prediction across all stages of development while simultaneously improving patient care through clinically integrated innovation. About Position
BostonGene works at the intersection of AI and oncology. We are looking for a versatile designer to bridge two distinct streams of work: video and motion design for our B2B marketing pipelines, and ongoing product design for our clinical and internal analytical platforms. You will be the primary driver for our video content while simultaneously supporting the continuous UX/UI improvement of the highly complex, data-heavy systems used by our analysts and partners.
You'll be joining a design team that supports the entire company. That means working directly with scientists, engineers, business development and leadership. You'll need to be comfortable asking questions, working with scientific, medical and AI subject areas, and making decisions about how to present information you didn't fully understand a week ago.
What you will do
Marketing & Sales Stream:
-
Own video production across marketing and clinical-facing initiatives, including videos for major industry conferences, digital campaigns, B2B promotional materials, and healthcare audience-facing educational content;
-
Execute the end-to-end video production lifecycle, from creative concepting and storyboarding to editing, motion design, post-production, versioning and final delivery;
-
Actively integrate AI video generation tools into your daily workflow to accelerate production;
-
Collaborate with marketing and business development to translate complex oncology and business concepts into compelling, easy-to-understand visual narratives.
Product & Clinical Stream:
-
Work with continuous, minor UX/UI improvements across a wide array of highly complex internal systems used by our analysts to prepare, review, and process clinical data;
-
Support and iterate on the layout and usability of our core clinical reports (such as Tumor Portrait®, Liquid Biopsy™ and others);
-
Maintain and evolve our in-house design system and component libraries, ensuring visual consistency across both patient-facing reports and internal platforms;
-
Collaborate closely with molecular/clinical analysts and software engineers to understand technical constraints and user workflows.
What we are looking for
-
3–5+ years of relevant work experience featuring both video/motion design and UI/UX product design;
-
Strong proficiency in video editing and motion design tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve);
-
Hands-on experience with current AI video generation workflows;
-
Proficiency in Figma, including advanced features (auto-layout, components, variables) necessary to maintain an in-house design system, or a demonstrated ability to learn them quickly;
-
Strong systems thinking and information architecture skills, with the ability to translate dense, data-heavy workflows into intuitive user interfaces;
-
Genuine interest in BostonGene's subject matter (oncology, molecular biology, AI);
-
English at B2+ level or above (certification is not required), as all materials and most stakeholder communication will be in English;
-
Russian (C1+ or equivalent) to cover the Yerevan team’s day-to-day communication.
Nice to have
-
Previous experience working with scientific, biotech, medtech, or B2B healthcare content;
-
Higher education degree, preferably in a technical, analytical, multimedia, or design-oriented field;
-
Experience with Atlassian tools: JIRA, Confluence.
What we offer
-
Full-time position with a permanent contract, flexible hours, and hybrid work options;
-
Competitive salary and comprehensive healthcare insurance;
-
Office in Yerevan, one minute walk from the metro, with on-site snacks;
-
Relocation package for candidates and their families — including documentation support, bank accounts, residence permits, and school contacts;
-
Discounts for English language lessons and gym membership;
-
An interdisciplinary environment: you'll work alongside bioinformaticians, biologists, physicians, and software developers;
-
Structured supervision and mentorship to support your professional growth.
