PHP Developer

Andersen is hiring a PHP Developer for a project building SaaS business management solutions, improving operations, productivity, and workflow automation for service businesses.

The customer is a rapidly growing technology company developing digital solutions that help service-oriented businesses streamline operations, improve internal processes, and enhance customer experience. Its platform includes workflow automation, business management tools, analytics, and intelligent features designed to support scalability and operational efficiency.

The project is focused on developing modern SaaS business management solutions for trade professionals, helping companies streamline operations, improve productivity, and manage daily business processes more efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Upgrading and modernizing legacy PHP applications to latest Laravel versions (11–13).
• Designing and implementing secure backend architectures following modern security standards.
• Refactoring and optimizing existing codebases for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in existing applications.
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Performing code reviews and enforce best practices across the backend team.
• Supporting integration of third-party services and APIs.
• Ensuring smooth migration with minimal downtime and risk.

Must-haves:

• Strong experience as Senior PHP Developer for 3+ years,
• Deep expertise with Laravel framework (preferably 9+) and strong knowledge of Laravel 11–13 ecosystem.
• Proven experience in legacy system migration / modernization projects.
• Strong understanding of web security principles (OWASP, authentication, authorization, encryption, etc.).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Solid knowledge of database design (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with performance optimization and debugging complex systems.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with DevOps / CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Experience in high-load systems.
• Frontend awareness (Vue.js / React is a plus).
