About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Consultant with CFO-level background and a strong understanding of how businesses operate in the United States. You will work directly with founders of growth-stage companies, providing strategic financial guidance across planning, fundraising, reporting, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Financial strategic planning — Develop and implement financial strategies, KPIs, and unit economics models aligned with business goals.

• Cash flow management — Forecast, optimize, and prevent cash flow gaps; manage working capital.

• Financial modeling and budgeting — Create detailed financial models (from simple P&Ls to complex investor forecast models), budget planning, and variance analysis.

• Investment preparation — Prepare businesses for fundraising (Seed, Series A), create pitch decks, conduct financial due diligence, and communicate with investors and funds.

• Financial reporting and analytics — Set up management accounting systems (often from scratch) and deliver actionable insights, not just data.

• Risk management — Identify financial risks and vulnerabilities; develop mitigation strategies and maintain appropriate internal controls to protect company assets.

• Process optimization — Streamline financial operations through automation and best practices; hands-on experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com, and similar platforms.

• Tax and legal advisory — Coordinate with external CPAs and attorneys to optimize US tax structure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Financial Consultant, CFO, or equivalent role

• English proficiency at C1 level or higher (written and spoken)

• Strong knowledge of the US business and financial environment

• Deep expertise in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis

• Ability to explain financial concepts clearly and practically to non-technical founders

• Experience with cloud-based accounting, payments, and analytics tools (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Stripe, Bill.com, etc.)

• Proactive self-starter, comfortable operating in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment

Will be an asset

• Experience working with small or high-growth businesses

• CPA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) certification is a plus

Conditions

Format: Remote, flexible schedule · ~20 h/week

Type of contract: self-employed or individual entrepreneur

Trial period: 3 month

Compensation: 3000 USD for ~80 h/month

• Финансовое стратегическое планирование — разработка и внедрение финансовых стратегий, KPI и моделей юнит-экономики в соответствии с целями бизнеса.
• Управление денежными потоками — прогнозирование, оптимизация и предотвращение кассовых разрывов; управление оборотным капиталом.
• Финансовое моделирование и бюджетирование — создание детальных финансовых моделей (от простых P&L до сложных прогнозных моделей для инвесторов), планирование бюджета и анализ отклонений.
• Подготовка к инвестированию — подготовка бизнеса к привлечению финансирования (Seed, Series A), создание питч-деков, проведение финансового due diligence и взаимодействие с инвесторами и фондами.
• Финансовая отчётность и аналитика — выстраивание систем управленческого учёта (зачастую с нуля) и предоставление практических инсайтов, а не просто данных.
• Управление рисками — выявление финансовых рисков и уязвимостей; разработка стратегий их минимизации и поддержание внутреннего контроля для защиты активов компании.
• Оптимизация процессов — оптимизация финансовых операций через автоматизацию и лучшие практики; практический опыт работы с инструментами QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com и аналогичными платформами.
• Налоговое и юридическое консультирование — координация с внешними CPA и юристами для оптимизации налоговой структуры в США.

Требования

• Подтверждённый опыт работы в роли финансового консультанта, CFO или на аналогичной позиции — от 5 лет
• Уровень английского языка C1 и выше (письменный и устный)
• Глубокое знание американской деловой и финансовой среды
• Экспертиза в области бюджетирования, управления денежными потоками и финансового анализа
• Умение объяснять финансовые концепции доступно и практично для нетехнических основателей
• Опыт работы с облачными инструментами для учёта, платежей и аналитики (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Stripe, Bill.com и др.)
• Проактивность и самостоятельность, умение работать в быстро меняющейся и неопределённой среде

Будет плюсом

• Опыт работы с малым бизнесом или быстрорастущими компаниями
• Наличие сертификации CPA, CFA или степени MBA (финансы)
