DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will manage and scale our infrastructure by automating CI/CD pipelines and configuration management using Ansible and Jenkins/GitLab. You will maintain cloud environments (AWS/GCP), ensure system stability through robust monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), and collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize deployment processes and security.

You will report to the Group IT Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configuration Management: Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (with a strong focus on Ansible);

• CI/CD & Automation: Design, maintain, and optimize deployment pipelines to ensure fast, secure, and reliable software delivery;

• Cross-team Collaboration: Partner with Development and QA teams to solve infrastructure challenges and optimize the overall software development lifecycle;

• Infrastructure & Cloud Management: Administer, scale, and support Linux-based server infrastructure across GCP or AWS environments;

• System Reliability: Proactively monitor system health, manage alerting workflows, and troubleshoot infrastructure incidents to ensure high availability;

• Security & Access Management: Ensure secure management of secrets, sensitive data, and auxiliary internal services (identity management, VPN, artifact repositories).

What to expect in your first 3-6 months:

• Audit & Document: Conduct a thorough review of the current setup and create comprehensive documentation for existing infrastructure, services, and deployment processes;

• CI/CD Optimization: Audit, streamline, and maintain existing CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments;

• Ansible Automation: Take charge of configuration management and infrastructure automation using Ansible to standardize our environments;

• Daily Operations & Support: Naturally, alongside these core projects, you will assist with day-to-day infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting as needed.

Core Competency Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in a DevOps Engineer or related role;

• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux administration (preferably Ubuntu);

• Proficient in written and spoken English (B2-C1);

• Proficient in written and spoken Russian (Advanced or Native);

• Deep understanding and practical experience with Ansible;

• Practical experience with Docker and containerization technologies;

• Proven experience building and maintaining pipelines in Jenkins and/or GitLab CI;

• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Load Balancing).

Great if you have experience with:

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS).

• Experience deploying and supporting Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager;

• Solid skills in writing automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other languages (e.g., Go, Ruby).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes);

• Familiarity with centralized user management and secrets management;

• Experience with Salesforce integrations or Microsoft Intune
