We’re looking for a skilled 2D Animator who sees AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement for craft. Someone who has strong fundamentals in animation and interaction, but understands that with modern tools (including AI), a small team can move fast and build rich, interactive experiences.
You’ll create 2D animations for characters and UI for an interactive iPad app (Unity-based), using tools like Rive (preferred), After Effects or similar.
Your work will include:
character animation (e.g. dogs);
UI animations (buttons, transitions, states);
animation for mini-games (puzzles, interactions);
preparing assets for smooth integration into Unity.
AI is part of the workflow—from concept exploration to animation support — but the foundation is still strong animation craft: timing, motion, clarity, and feel.
You’ll work in a small, fast-moving team, collaborating closely with developers and designers, and contributing to both prototype and production stages.
Strong animation fundamentals.
You understand timing, easing, weight, and motion. You can rig (bones/states) and create animations that feel responsive and alive.
Experience with Rive (or similar tools).
You’ve worked with Rive or comparable tools (Spine, After Effects + export).
You understand state machines and interactive animation.
Good design sense.
You have an eye for what feels right in motion and UI — clean, readable, and responsive animations.
AI curiosity.
You’ve experimented with AI tools or are eager to.
You see them as a way to move faster, not replace your skills.
Fast iteration mindset.
You’re comfortable creating quick, non-final animations for prototyping and improving them iteratively.
Self-direction.
You don’t wait for perfect specs — you move forward, explore, and adapt.
