General accountant

The Yandex UAE Accounting team is looking for an experienced and energetic professional who is comfortable with large volumes of work, consistently meets deadlines, and communicates effectively with colleagues and vendors.

Tasks that await you:

AR/AP accounting operations
You will generate invoices (or other relevant documents) and timely book revenue in the system.

Collections
You will monitor customer accounts for timely payments and proactively follow up on overdue invoices.

Account maintenance
You will maintain accurate customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and manage credit limits.

Reporting and analysis
You will generate financial reports on accounts receivable status, analyze data, and assist with month-end closing procedures.

Record keeping
You will maintain organized and accurate records of all AR-related transactions and documentation.

Compliance
You will ensure all AR activities comply with company procedures and relevant financial regulations.

We expect that you:

• Have experience working in an accounting department
• Are proficient in English
• Are familiar with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Are comfortable working with large databases and Excel
