About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who is obsessed with quality, reliability, and observability. You will work closely with backend and frontend engineers to ensure our platform scales fast without sacrificing correctness.

This is not a manual QA role. You will design automation frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD, and help us catch issues before customers do.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites (E2E, integration, API).
- Build and scale test automation using Playwright or Puppeteer.
- Write reliable tests for Node.js backend services and React frontend apps.
- Validate APIs, async workflows, and distributed systems behavior.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, etc.).
- Actively collaborate with engineers to improve testability and system design.
- Improve observability for QA (logs, metrics, test failures tracking).
- Take full ownership of test quality across environments.

Requirements
- 2+ years overall experience in QA Automation or Software Engineering.
- Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Puppeteer.
- Solid understanding of backend testing (REST APIs, async jobs, auth).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP / AWS / Azure).
- Proactive mindset, strong ownership, and excellent communication skills.

We offer
- Remote, with potential US relocation after 1 year (visa sponsored).
- Base salary + performance-based stock (ESOP)
- 👉 12% of the company allocated to employees

Salary range:
$600 – $2,000 (Junior)
$2,000 – $3,500 (Mid)
