Interpreter (Japanese - English)

We are an international virtual call center. The company specializes in interpreting and localization services and works with both startups and large international corporations.

Who we are looking for
We welcome both professional and beginner interpreters who are fluent in Japanese and English.
Students are also considered, provided they are fully committed to the job and can present a LanguageStat test result of 80% or higher.

Important! Only citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan are considered.

Responsibilities
• Interpreting conversations between doctor and patient (via phone / online / video calls)
• Consulting clients in two languages according to approved scripts
• Following medical ethics and maintaining data confidentiality
• Keeping brief notes and maintaining a glossary
• Communicating with shift coordinators
• Participating in training and quality control sessions

Requirements
• Fluency in Japanese and English
(IELTS 7.0+ or proven experience in oral interpreting)
• Clear speech and the ability to convey meaning quickly and accurately
• Experience in medical interpreting, call centers, or telemedicine is preferred
• Stress resistance, empathy, and professional ethics
• Willingness to work night shifts (19:00–04:00)
• Readiness to sign an NDA and follow internal quality standards

Training and onboarding
• Full training with a foreign trainer
• Medical terminology, ethics, and script-based communication
• Simultaneous and consecutive interpreting techniques
• Working with RSI platforms
• Final certification and shift approval
• Regular QA sessions and glossary updates

Technical requirements (for remote work)
• Stable wired internet (preferably 50–100 Mbps)
• Professional noise-cancelling headset
• Quiet workspace
• PC / laptop: i5 or Ryzen 5 and above, 8–16 GB RAM
• Camera and a second monitor are a plus
