Shipping and Maritime lawyer Disputes UK Law

Large Oil Trading Company is looking for a shipping and maritime lawyer.

This is a perfect opportunity for a strong candidate to launch his/her legal career with a leading oil trading company.

Responsibilities

• Legal support of business in drafting, reviewing, commenting different contracts (development, purchase, etc) for local and external markets under English/International/Russian law;

• Support on capacity check of international counterparties, including check of authorities of the signatories in multinational jurisdictions;

• Ongoing legal support of general business activity of the company (NDAs, service agreements, etc).

• Shipping and Maritime law (demurrage disputes with the shipowners and counterparties; Charter-parties; etc.);

• International arbitration if required

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in law from a top Russian university;

• 4+ year PQE relevant legal experience (after obtaining higher education);

• Good command of English contract law and Russian civil law;

• Crucial expertize in shipping and Maritime law (demurrage disputes)

• Background in drafting contracts;

• Ability to manage multiple tasks;

• Ability to prioritize workflow while adhering to deadlines;

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work;

• Fluent English (both oral and written);

• Advance computer skills.
