Restaurant Manager – Role & Expectations
Main Objective
To ensure the restaurant operates as a true standalone dining destination by maintaining high standards in guest experience, service, atmosphere, and daily performance.

- High level of personal responsibility and initiative.
- Proactive decision-making within agreed limits.
- Consistent presence during key service periods.
- Clear and structured communication with ownership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dining Room & Guest Experience
- Be present and fully engaged in the dining room during service.
- Ensure the right atmosphere (lighting, music, cleanliness, table setup).
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond immediately to issues.
- Ensure consistency in the overall dining experience.
2. Service Standards & Team Supervision
- Train and guide the floor team on service standards.
- Correct mistakes in real time and maintain discipline.
- Lead pre-service briefings and ensure team alignment.
- Maintain professional appearance and behavior of staff.
3. Daily Operations & Initiative
- Take initiative on operational matters without waiting for instructions.
- Handle small practical decisions independently (layout, minor fixes, coordination).
- Ensure smooth communication between kitchen, bar, and service.
- Follow issues through until fully resolved.
4. Performance Monitoring
- Track daily covers and performance.
- Monitor average check and guest flow trends.
- Identify weak days and propose actions to improve traffic.
- Report clearly on restaurant performance.
5. Positioning & Growth
- Support the positioning of the restaurant as a standalone dining venue.
- Ensure ambiance and presentation match the desired market segment.
- Work closely with management on improvements in menu presentation, service flow, and guest perception.
