The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance activities within a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and systems. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and improving preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Cooperating with the Operation Manager and reporting to the Plant Manager/COO.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance oversight: Develop, manage, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, generators, balance-of-plant systems, and auxiliary equipment.
Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure timely response to equipment failures. - Staff management: Lead, train, and manage power plant maintenance staff to foster a safe and productive work environment. This can include hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
- Compliance and safety: Ensure the plant adheres to all local national and international environmental, safety, and regulatory standards, including OSHA requirements. This includes investigating safety violations and incidents.
- Maintenance and planning: Coordinate with the operation department major outages/overhauls, including scope development, contractor management, and quality assurance.
Coordinate on long-term maintenance plans and assist with troubleshooting equipment abnormalities. - Asset Management & Reliability: Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze equipment performance data and failure trends to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
Manage the plant’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities. - Reporting: Prepare necessary plant maintenance reports and investigate forced outages and other operational issues.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering or high school diploma with significant experience.
- 10–15 years of maintenance experience in CCGT power generation; at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Gas and steam turbines
- HRSG systems
- High-voltage equipment
- DCS/controls systems (e.g., Siemens, GE, Alstom)
- Experience managing major outages and contractor-heavy projects.
- Leadership: Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to manage international staff and complex operations.
- Problem-solving: Must be able to troubleshoot issues, handle unexpected problems, and adapt to a high-pressure environment.
- Languages: Good knowledge of English language – Uzbek and/or Russian language is a plus
