We are seeking a dynamic and creative Teacher of Performance Arts to inspire and engage pupils across the school. The ideal candidate should have strong English proficiency, experience teaching performing arts (Drama, Theatre, Dance and/or Music Performance), and the ability to foster creativity, confidence, and collaboration in a stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Performance Arts across the Junior School (Drama, Theatre, Dance and/or Music Performance)

• Inspire pupils to develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills.

• Support students’ learning across the curriculum and contribute to cross-curricular projects.

• Support students’ access to learning through effective use of ICT and creative technologies.

• Contribute to assessing students’ progress and support them in reviewing their own learning.

• Create, adapt and customise curriculum materials to suit varying abilities.

• Support the learning of EAL students and promote their well-being and resilience.

• Organise and direct rehearsals, performances, productions and showcases.

• Work effectively with teaching assistants and technicians where appropriate.

• Mark and assess pupils’ work according to school and departmental policy.

• Provide constructive feedback and set targets for pupil progress.

• Assess and record each pupil’s progress systematically to ensure demonstrable development in performance skills.

• Build and maintain co-operative relationships with parents and communicate effectively regarding pupil progress.

Co-Curricular Activities

• Lead and supervise after-school Performing Arts clubs and activities.

• Direct school productions, concerts, drama performances and other artistic events.

• Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with the British education system.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Performance Arts (Drama/Theatre/Dance/Music Performance).

• Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with the British education system.

• Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Theatre Studies, Dance, Music or related field

• English proficiency at a minimum of Upper-Intermediate level (B2) is required.
