Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Procurement Manager and work alongside passionate and inquisitive teammates.
You'll guarantee full coverage for production needs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering etc.), contribute to budget optimization and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of all the contracts for materials within scope, but also support colleagues with any issues around suppliers.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform procurement activities to satisfy business needs by deploying different Commodity Sourcing Strategies.
- Issue RFQ’s, expedite responses to quotations, liaise with internal requestors on technical evaluation of bids received.
- Perform supplier selection through the Business Award with Commodity managers and/or other relevant processes.
- Ensure mandatory application of Alstom tools (ALTES, SAP, ASIP, Ecovadis, Qliksense).
- Negotiate and execute contracts complying with Alstom requirements.
- Makes sure that suppliers selected are meeting Alstom ethic code, EHS and SD requirements.
- Optimize and decrease total costs of ownership for purchased commodities through strategy building with internal customers.
- Facilitate delivery of sourced parts on time in respect of quality and cost.
- Monitor and develop supplier base performance.
- Coordinate claims to suppliers on his range of products.
- Ensure that overdue requisitions are eliminated through implementing action plans.
- Provide reporting required for management.
- Support continuous improvement and suggest ideas for process improvements.
- Take active part in Performance management cycle process - setting goals, reporting on performance, assessing and developing his own competencies.
- Follow ALSTOM Ethics Code, demonstration and promotion of high ethics standards.
- Follow labor discipline, support positive working environment. Any use of obscene language, unethical rude remarks and insults are a violation of labor discipline.
Main requirements:
- 2+ year experience in Procurement, Sourcing.
- Production sites experience is desirable.
- SAP/ERP skills.
- Communication and Negotiation skills.
- English.
