HSE Supervisor (Wind Farm)

Job Purpose

To supervise the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures at wind farm construction sites, ensuring all activities (civil works, electrical works, and wind turbine erection) comply with ACWA Power HSE policies, national regulations, and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily HSE performance and ensure compliance with safety rules and approved HSE plans.

• Supervise contractor and subcontractor HSE activities and method statements.

• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety inductions.

• Identify and report unsafe acts and conditions; escalate critical risks.

• Investigate incidents and near misses and support corrective actions.

• Support the HSE Manager with records, reports, and audit documentation.

• Promote a proactive safety culture among all site personnel.

• Monitor high-risk activities (work at height, lifting operations, turbine erection, electrical works, confined spaces).

• Ensure proper use of PPE and availability of emergency equipment.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and maintain HSE registers (PTW, inspections, incidents, risk assessments).

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company and national HSE and fire safety regulations.

• Identify hazards and support continuous improvement of the HSE management system.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent (mandatory).

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction HSE roles, including at least 2 years in wind power or heavy industrial projects.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of wind farm construction hazards (work at height, lifting, HV electrical safety).

• Familiar with Uzbekistan/Central Asia labor and environmental regulations.

• Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and inspections.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent in English (Uzbek and/or Russian is an advantage).

• Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting systems.
