Johnson &Johnson is looking for a talented Reliability Engineer to join our Russia-based IT organization in Moscow.

Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) is at the forefront of enabling reliable, scalable, and secure platforms across Data Engineering, Web & Digital, CRM, and ERP ecosystems in Russia. Leveraging Yandex Cloud infrastructure, ELMA 365 process automation, and Russia-specific observability and monitoring solutions, our mission is to deliver operational stability while accelerating innovation. Our Reliability Engineers play a key role in ensuring availability, performance, and resilience for applications that are vital to Johnson & Johnson’s Russia operations.

Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of platforms spanning data lakehouses, web and mobile applications, CRM, and ERP systems. This includes building observability into critical services, optimizing operations through automation, and collaborating closely with engineering teams and product owners.

This role requires strong expertise in Yandex Cloud services, monitoring and alerting systems, and modern reliability engineering practices — while aligning with global standards and local Russia compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Reliability & Availability: Ensure uptime, scalability, and performance across data, digital, CRM, and ERP platforms hosted on Yandex Cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Observability & Monitoring: Design, implement, and manage monitoring solutions using tools such as Yandex Monitoring, Yandex Logs, Grafana, Prometheus, and integrate application metrics from Yandex Metrica/AppMetrica.
• Automation & Service Improvement: Identify and prioritize automation opportunities (in ELMA 365 workflows, CI/CD, and incident management) to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency.
• Incident & Problem Management: Lead root cause analysis, problem elimination, and reduce MTTR/TTR for incidents. Ensure collaboration with L1/L2 teams and development squads.
• Capacity & Availability Management: Forecast and optimize capacity across workloads, ensuring proactive scalability for data and ERP transaction peaks.
• Disaster Recovery & Continuity: Coordinate DR planning, resilience testing, and compliance with Russia-specific data protection requirements.
• Security & Compliance: Partner with security teams to embed Yandex Smart Web Security, Smart Captcha, API Gateway protections, and other local solutions into reliability design.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with global counterparts and local vendors to ensure consistent reliability practices tailored to the Russia market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Reliability Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role supporting enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong understanding of Yandex Cloud services (compute, storage, monitoring, API gateway, smart security).
• Hands-on expertise with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or equivalents), plus Russia-specific services (Yandex Monitoring, Logs, AppMetrica).
• Familiarity with data, digital/web, CRM, and ERP environments, ideally within regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Russian and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise systems (SAP ERP, Salesforce/CRM equivalents, or Russia-local CRM/ERP platforms).
• Knowledge of 1C, VK Cloud, or local financial/payment APIs.
• Background in DevSecOps practices and security hardening.
• Familiarity with non-functional requirements (NFRs) for application design and continuous service improvement.
