We are seeking a detail-oriented and technical Core Banking Administrator to manage the daily operations, stability, and maintenance of our core banking system, iABS (Fido-Biznes).
In this role, you will act as the technical guardian of the system, responsible for routine maintenance, deployment of updates, and acting as the bridge between internal stakeholders and the vendor (Fido-Biznes). You will play a crucial role in maintaining system availability and resolving critical incidents.
Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance & Operations
- Perform daily health checks and routine technical maintenance of the iABS environment to ensure high availability.
- Monitor system performance, batch processes, and End-of-Day (EOD) / End-of-Month (EOM) operations; intervene to resolve stalls or errors.
- Manage user access rights, roles, and security configurations within the iABS system in accordance with security policies.
- Conduct regular log analysis to proactively identify potential performance bottlenecks.
Update & Release Management
- Participate in patch management lifecycle for iABS.
- Deploy updates, hotfixes, and new modules to the test environment (UAT) for validation.
- Coordinate with business units to confirm successful UAT before scheduling production deployment.
- Execute production deployments during maintenance windows and verify post-deployment stability.
Vendor Management (Fido-Biznes)
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the vendor, Fido-Biznes.
- Log, track, and escalate support tickets regarding bugs or system limitations.
- Translate internal business requirements into technical specifications for the vendor when requesting new features or customizations.
- Hold the vendor accountable to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding response and resolution times.
Incident Management & Support
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for critical issues related to core banking functionality.
- Assist the infrastructure and database teams in troubleshooting complex outages or data inconsistencies.
- Maintain a knowledge base of known errors, workarounds, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in banking IT operations or application administration.
- System Knowledge: Proven experience working with iABS (Fido-Biznes) or similar Core Banking Systems (CBS).
- Database Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle Database) for querying data, generating reports, and troubleshooting data issues.
- OS Skills: Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments (command line navigation, scripting, file management).
- Language: Proficiency in the local language (where the bank operates) and technical English (or Russian, depending on the vendor communication requirements).
