Andersen is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (Java) to enhance and support a large travel-sector web platform, improving functionality, performance, and overall user experience.
The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.
The project is focused on enhancing and supporting an existing web platform in the travel services domain. The team works on improving functionality, performance, and overall user experience while ensuring that the platform remains reliable and competitive.
The position assumes 12 to 21 CET work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases using Java
- Creating and executing automated tests for web applications, APIs, and services.
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyzing test results, identifying defects, and collaborating with the team on root cause analysis.
- Participating in test planning, estimation, and test strategy discussions.
- Maintaining test documentation and ensuring test coverage for critical functionality.
- Actively contributing to improving testing processes and quality practices.
Must-haves:
- Commercial experience as a QA Automation Engineer for 2+ years.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Selenide, RestAssured, SpecFlow, NUnit, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with API testing and automated API tests.
- Understanding of software testing principles, STLC, and test design techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly within a team.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with containerization (Docker).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure).
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with performance or load testing.
