The Role
Procurement Strategy & Governance
- Define and execute the global procurement strategy, aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives and financial targets.
- Establish best-in-class procurement policies, frameworks, and governance standards to support effective decision-making across markets.
Supplier & Category Leadership
- Lead end-to-end supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for key categories at scale.
- Build strong strategic partnerships with suppliers that enhance quality, drive innovation, and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Cost Optimization & Value Creation
- Deliver measurable savings and value-added initiatives that impact the company’s financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for demand rationalization, specification alignment, and market benchmarking to improve cost efficiency.
Risk & Supply Continuity Management
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and resilience against market volatility.
- Develop contingency planning and risk management approaches for critical categories and global supplier networks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Business Units to support strategic priorities and integrate procurement insights into business decisions.
- Ensure procurement objectives and performance metrics are aligned with broader corporate goals.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives, drive performance excellence, and build capabilities across the procurement organization.
Performance, Reporting & Analytics
- Define and monitor procurement KPIs, including savings delivery, supplier performance, compliance, and risk mitigation metrics.
- Provide actionable, data-driven insights to senior leadership through effective reporting and forecast analysis.
The Candidate
- Higher Technical Education in economics, finance or business management
- At least 3+ years’ experience in similar role, ideally in an international food company
- Very good people management skills with capacity to federate and to share a vision
- Strong negotiation skills and supp lier management experience
- Solid P&L, budgeting, and cost-optimization mindset
- Data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making
- Ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders and projects
- High autonomy, leadership maturity, and results orientation
