Chief Growth Officer overview:

As Chief Growth Officer, you will play a significant part in bringing the ten-year strategic plan to life. As an experienced, creative, and commercial leader you will launch and build the InnoTech brand and deliver to commercial targets for student growth through data-centric and systematic approaches to recruitment and retention. Role description:

As a member of the leadership team, the Chief Growth Officer CGO) will be responsible for building and leading the Marketing and Student Recruitment team and delivering to a range of targets including new enrolments, brand, lead generation, and conversion metrics.

These targets will be delivered via the CGO having significant experience in strategy, brand, marketing, digital, communications, social media, sales management, operations, and customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Recruit and manage the new marketing and student recruitment team with initial size of up to ten, recruiting the roles in partnership with Cintana Education
  • Develop and execution the annual marketing, communications, and student recruitment plan, in partnership with Cintana Education, to deliver to a range of targets including student enrolments, leads, conversion metrics, student satisfaction, and brand health
  • Deliver and manage the InnoTech brand strategy, brand identity and customer experience
  • Deliver effective lead generation campaigns across multiple channels with a focus on digital marketing, ensuring adherence to data and insights at every conversion point
  • Deliver regular reporting through dashboards and research to continually optimise campaign activity
  • Develop and maintain the website presence and social media channels, ensuring adherence to the brand strategy and using reporting tools to track and optimise
  • Provide strategic communication advice to the University senior leadership team with accountability for internal communications, media management and public relations activities, ensuring corporate strategies are implemented across these channels
  • Ensure the successful recruitment of students via a segmented and customer-centric approach across both domestic and international students via the student recruitment contact centre, outreach team, and events
  • Develop and optimise new team processes, policies and procedures across both the marketing and student recruitment functions
  • Manage and report on the division’s operations, budget and expenditure
  • Manage the relationship with marketing agency partners and be accountable for delivery against business plans and budgets
  • Collaborate with the broader university team to set growth plans and achieve overall business and brand targets

About you. Please apply if this sounds like you:
You have a strong track record and demonstrated experience in launching new products or leading change and inspiring teams toward achieving ambitious goals and strategic priorities in a data-focused and strategic organisation;

You love segmented and strategic marketing plans and adore the challenge of brand building from scratch and can spot something “off-brand” instantly;

You think constantly of the customer and have extensive experience in a customer-focussed leadership role and have delivered programs and content strategies to support an excellent customer experience;

You are a passionate, creative and experienced marketer with experience across all marketing channels, with extensive experience in all things digital including websites, SEM, SEO, digital advertising, and social platforms;

You have experience in customer sales strategies and frameworks (either directly or indirectly worked in partnership with) with demonstrated achievement of targets and ideally have managed a sales team or had a senior sales role;

Strong expertise in leading research and data analysis and making well-informed, data-backed decisions;

You do need experience in consumer marketing and understand consumer segments, and ideally have experience in retail, travel, IT, banking, tourism, or telecommunications and do not need to have experience in the higher education sector.

Experience in media management, internal communications, and public relations ideal but not mandatory.

Understanding of developing new processes, procedures, and policies for a new team, ideal.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 15+ years’ experience in marketing, ideally in retail, travel, IT, telecommunications, or other consumer-based, highly competitive industries
  • Ideally 5+ years sales experience, ideally in a leadership role
  • 8+ years in senior leadership role
  • Degree in business, communications, marketing
  • MBA ideal.
