Resident Compressor Engineer

Technical skills/experience with:

• RGI Compressors Offshore: GT driven Nuovo Pignone Centrifugal Compressor – radial split barrel casing BCL-304, BCL-404 type. Mark VI GT control system, BN 3500 vibration monitoring system and CCC Vanguard anti-surge control system, CCC load sharing control system. Flowserve dry gas seals, Seal gas booster compressor (4HB/3 – reciprocating compressor) for dry gas seals.

  Seal gas booster compressor (Reciprocating) for compressor dry gas seals

  Flash Gas Compressors Offshore: GT Driven Siemens Centrifugal Compressor – radial split barrel casing, hydrodynamic bearings, Burgmann dry gas seals. Bentley Nevada 3500 vibration monitoring system, CCC Series5 Vanguard anti-surge protection and performance control system

  Sales Gas and Flash Gas Compressors Onshore:

  Electric Motor driven GE Thermodin Centrifugal Compressors – radial split barrel casing, hydrodynamic bearings, Burgmann dry gas seals, lubricating oil console, dry gas seal console, inter-stage air cooled exchanger, final-stage air cooled exchanger, BN3500 vibration monitoring system, CCC Vanguard anti-surge control system, CCC load sharing control system.

  Air, Nitrogen and Off-gas Compressors Onshore and Offshore:

  Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, MAN Compressors – Screw, Reciprocating, Integrally Geared, Compressors, Turboexpander and Air blowers

  Duties and responsibilities on site

  -Transfer knowledge and develop local engineers: set an individual training/coaching annual plan

  and report progress to SSM half yearly.

  -Perform audit of tools, special tools and parts of the covered units two times per a year.

  -Provide recommendations for improvement following troubleshooting, testing and inspection

  while operating in a safe and efficient manner within applicable regulations.

  -Take primary responsibility for the management of covered units.

  -Perform diagnosis and resolve maintenance or operational problems on covered unit with

  support of COMPANY’s operation and maintenance staff and analyse with COMPANY unit trips

  and make recommendations to prevent similar occurrences

  -Provide on-the-job training of COMPANY’s operation & maintenance staff

  -Prepare the maintenance planning activities for planned maintenance & inspection (including

  pre-outage, outage and post-outage planning).

  -Log, track, trend and predict essential mechanical parameters of covered unit technical

  performance.

  -Provide technical advice and counsel to COMPANY associated with operation of covered units.

  -Assist COMPANY with regular reviews of maintenance activities.

  -Ensure completeness and correctness of SAP work orders and ensure relevant technical protocols, procedures, references, check lists, drawings, QA/QC plans, applicable OEM issued technical bulletin, Lifting Plans, etc. are ready for successful implementation

  -Prepare the procedures for the COVERED UNIT(s) based on the COMPANY’s SAP work orders and in conjunction with OEM guidelines.

  -Keeps Operators on shift fully informed of unusual conditions and current job progress as the job

  relates to facility operations.

  -Visually inspects and tests equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or

  lubrication.

  -Uses facility operating procedures and equipment technical manuals to maintain and repair

  facility equipment and ensure equipment is operated within operating range.

  -Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges.

  Cleaning, replacing, oiling and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required.

  Works on a rotation within offshore and onshore plants.

  -Project and/or major program responsibilities as assigned by the Site Service Manager.

  -Repairs, replaces, dismantles and examines defective parts along with lubricating and cleaning

  parts.

  -Diagnoses cause of mechanical, electrical and operational malfunction or failure of equipment.

  -Maintains service records and provides regular customer reports.

  -Carry out audits to ensure that all PART(s) and TOOL(s) of COVERED UNIT(s) are stocked and

  preserved in accordance with the OEM’s guidelines and recommendations.

  -Advise COMPANY if any shortage, discrepancies on the stock level and/or preservation of stock

  Supervises and provides coaching and training to trainee staff.

  -Reads, understands and complies with all regulatory and facility safety procedures.

  -Work overtime, or irregular hours as needed to support reliable operation of the facility.

  -Maintains the cleanliness of all areas of the plant.

  -May be required to operate a fork lift and similar equipment.

  -Cooperates and participates as a team member
