SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan is an affiliated member Association of international non-governmental organisation. The main mission is to support children left without parental care or at risk of losing parental care through advocating for child rights and implementing relevant programs and projects. The Association works in Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm regions (www.sos-kd.uz ).
Mission of the position:
ICT Coordinator (ICTC) leads the ICT function in SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan and has functional leadership duties for the ICT technicians in SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan.
He/she ensures that the ICT function in the SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan works according to ICT strategies as lined out in the Strategic Plan, guidelines and works for achieving the pre-established goals and quality standards.
Main functional responsibilities:
The ICTC is responsible for all national ICT services
The ICTC ensures and is responsible for roll-out and execution of global/regional policies, processes and projects in the Member Association
The ICTC participates in regional knowledge sharing processes on ICT topics
The ICTC defines national ICT budgets and ICT plans for all assigned MAs (Member Associations)
The ICTC develops and implements the IT strategy and all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision
The ICTC is responsible for procurement of IT hardware, software and outsourced ICT services
The ICTC negotiates and administers IT consultant contracts and service agreements
BCM, Security & Disaster Recovery
The ICTC manages the organization’s IT network / Server security, business continuity and disaster recovery plans. He/she ensures that the IT infrastructure is maintained while optimizing capacity, performance and cost effectiveness
The ICTC plans and builds redundancy into existing systems to eliminate downtime due to server/service failure
The ICTC has Core Cisco LAN technology management and deployment capability (including establishment of VPNs)
The ICTC organizes Network capacity and changes planning
The ICTC is responsible for local systems administration, security management, incident handling, availability and performance monitoring
The ICTC is responsible for overall email and collaboration tool requirement definition, design and maintenance
The ICTC reviews systems' procedures to ensure that the users are making best use of the technology available and provide advice where this could be improved
The ICTC provides advice and guidance to ensure business needs are met optimally by our internal and externally hosted infrastructure and support innovation, automation and improvement as driven by the business, partners and internal team member.
Requirements:
ICT management experience is essential
Minimum of 3 years as a windows systems administration role
Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and methodologies based on ITIL
Core directory/translation service knowledge: Active Directory, LDAP, GPO, DNS, DHCP
Core collaboration tool awareness: Exchange, Lync, SharePoint, VOIP
Core networking knowledge: Cisco LAN, WLAN, Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs
Good knowledge of network hardware including servers, routers, and other computer devices
Experience of Disaster Recovery solutions and resilience
Industry standard IT Certifications are desirable: (i.e. Microsoft, Cisco, ITILv3)
Good knowledge of written and spoken Uzbek, Russian and English.
