Water & Wastewater Technical Support Specialist (Water Engineer)

1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Water Supply & Drainage, Water/Wastewater Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
2.4–7 years of hands-on technical experience in municipal water supply and/or wastewater projects; international project experience is strongly preferred (e.g., working with international clients, EPC contractors, consultants, or IFI-funded projects).
3.Solid knowledge of drinking water treatment and water supply systems (intake, treatment, transmission & distribution, pumping stations, networks, NRW/metering) and wastewater fundamentals (pre-treatment, biological treatment, tertiary treatment, disinfection, sludge treatment/disposal); able to recommend fit-for-purpose processes and equipment based on local conditions.
4.Ability to support market development and pre-sales technical work, including opportunity screening, technical discussions and needs assessment with clients, solution positioning, and preparation of customer/partner presentations.
5.Capable of preparing and/or reviewing technical deliverables for bids and projects, such as concept notes, technical proposals, design basis, process narratives, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
6.Able to develop early-stage technical designs and estimates: water balance and capacity sizing, preliminary inputs for PFD/P&ID, basic hydraulics, chemical dosing and energy estimates, and key OPEX/CAPEX assumptions.
7.Familiar with EPC / DBO / O&M and PPP/BOT-type project structures; able to identify key technical risks, interfaces, and constraints in early-stage development. 8.Strong stakeholder coordination skills; able to work effectively with local utilities/municipalities, regulators, design institutes/consultants, EPC contractors, and equipment vendors in Uzbekistan.
9.Languages: fluent in English (spoken and written) and fluent in Uzbek. Russian is a plus.
10.Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with AutoCAD, GIS, EPANET, or similar tools is a plus. 11.Willingness to travel within Uzbekistan for customer meetings, site visits, and partner engagement.
