We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our SPINE team.
SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It's a third-person beat'em'up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.
This project represents a new ambitious challenge for the company as it marks our first game for both PC and consoles.
Responsibilities:
Testing all game functionality: gameplay systems, physics, materials, AI, and levels
Participation in continuous Smoke and Regression testing
Participation in preparing test reports and summaries
Creating and maintaining checklists and test cases
Collecting performance data using Unreal Insights
Writing and maintaining testing documentation
Ongoing communication with development teams, including game and level designers, etc.
Participation in Exploratory testing
Active involvement in improving testing processes
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in testing games developed with Unreal Engine
Understanding of game development and testing fundamentals in Unreal Engine
Experience working with Unreal Engine testing tools, including Unreal Editor, logging, and debugging tools
Experience testing core functionality such as gameplay systems and physics
High level of independence, decision-making ability, and self-organization
Ability to quickly switch between tasks and manage multiple priorities
Experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans for various game systems and features
Experience working with bug tracking systems such as Jira
Strong skills in analyzing and documenting bugs using detailed descriptions, screenshots, and video recordings
Understanding of basic performance testing and optimization principles for game systems
Knowledge of key testing methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, and user testing
Experience working in a team environment with effective communication skills
Willingness to learn new technologies and testing approaches within the Unreal Engine ecosystem
