Position Purpose:
To plan, review, and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution in accordance with project standards and international regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and approve Lifting Plans, Rigging Studies, and Method Statements for routine and critical lifts
- Verify crane selection, lifting configurations, load calculations, ground bearing pressure and rigging gear sizing
- Inspect and verify the condition and certification of cranes, lifting accessories, and rigging equipment
- Provide technical guidance to site teams, crane operators, and riggers during lifting activities
- Coordinate with Construction, HSE, QA/QC and subcontractors for safe and timely execution
- Monitor on-site lifting operations, intervene in unsafe situations, and provide corrective actions
- Maintain documentation for lifting equipment registers, daily checklists, third-party certifications, and load test records
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in heavy lifting, rigging or crane operations in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of cranes (mobile, crawler, tower), lifting accessories, rigging gear and relevant standards
- Ability to prepare lifting plans (AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage)
- Solid understanding of site safety practices and international lifting regulations
- Strong communication and coordination skills
