Join Privileged Few, a rapidly expanding media project dedicated to exploring privilege, power, and the culture of the top 1%. We produce bold, satirical, and thought-provoking content across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, reaching a global audience. We are seeking a talented and creative Reels Editor to help us amplify our message and engage viewers with captivating short-form video.

In this remote, part-time role, you will be instrumental in transforming our long-form content and original recordings into highly engaging social media assets. Your contributions will directly impact our reach and influence across key platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• For aliyevaal (Instagram): Edit recorded talking-head videos into dynamic Reel formats, incorporating clear captions, seamless transitions, and light color grading to ensure a polished and professional look.

• For weareprivilegedfew (Instagram): Analyze long-form YouTube videos (10–20 minutes in length) and skillfully cut them into compelling vertical stories, typically 30–90 seconds, designed to capture attention and drive engagement.

• For Privileged Few Patreon: Edit monthly horizontal videos in a distinct vlog style, differing from our main YouTube content, to provide exclusive content for our community.

• Stay continuously updated on global trending content, particularly within English-speaking markets, to inform editing choices and content strategy.

• Demonstrate originality by avoiding overused or generic Reel transitions, bringing a fresh and innovative approach to every edit.

This position requires an average capacity of 8 unique short videos per week, in addition to one horizontal video per month.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for social media storytelling.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven strong experience in editing short-form video content specifically for platforms such as Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts. A portfolio showcasing your work, including a clear explanation of your specific contributions to each project, is mandatory.
• Solid English language skills (Intermediate+), crucial for understanding and accurately editing English-language material.
• In-depth understanding of current pop culture trends, online storytelling techniques, and the optimal structure for short-form content.
• Demonstrated ability to create 'hooky' social media content that drives engagement without resorting to clickbait tactics.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and maintain a proactive approach to tasks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both in providing constructive feedback and openly receiving it to foster continuous improvement.

Bonus Points For:

• Proficiency in CapCut, both mobile and desktop versions.
